Liberty style in Paris at Musée Carnavalet, Paris - fabulous historic chateau houses a museum to the history of the city. From earliest times thro’ medieval period and French Revolution to 20th and 21st centuries. A room dedicated to Georges Fouquet, liberty-style artist and jewellery maker introduced me to 1920s and 30s stained glass, fantastic mosaic flooring and sculpted peacocks. #liberty #artnouveau #style #quality #Paris #Marais

Ostia Antica one of the biggest archaeological sites in Italy - after Pompeii, vast, fascinating and rarely crowded. A taste of Rome near the airport. Ostia was the port of Ancient Rome - a vast expanse of warehouses, storerooms and houses. A theatre, Forum, market place - its all there #Rome #Roma #Ostia #Lazio #grandtourist #educatedtraveller #journeys #travel #education
