We’ll be in Venice in September, October and November, 2026 for the Biennale!
It’s not too late to join us.
This year’s theme is called “In Minor Keys”. It was conceived as a meditation on softness, nuance and the radicality of joy. We’ll be visiting the two sites of the Biennale; Giardini and Arsenale, however we’ll also take in lesser visited venues. We stay at the Villa Mabapa on Lido – a family-run hotel with a garden, pool and wonderful views across the lagoon to Venice.
We will also visit the new exhibition at The Guggenheim curated by Grazina Subelyte – a show focusing on Peggy Guggenheim’s art gallery in London in the 1930s.
If you’ve been thinking about the Venice Biennale, this is your opportunity to discover the 2026 edition. We’ll be in Venice on the following days and happy to offer Biennale visits to art enthusiasts.
- 21-25 September
- 26-30 October
- 02-06 November

UPDATE – A highlight for me – the peace and calm of the Scalzi Garden next door to the train station. This beautiful monastic garden is open to Biennale visitors and is a joy. An oasis of calm in the city!

Hoping to see you in Venice very soon.

Hi, Janet Just a quick note from my room in the Bombay Royal infirmary (where I am enjoying what I hope will be only a short return visit!) -to thank you for this – to apologise for the fact that our further-flung jaunts are progressively now behind us – and to wish you what I am sure will be a highly successful, memorable and enjoyable visit to The Bienniale. I will look forward to hearing more about it in due course. Very best wishes in the meantime Love, John
