Getting ready for the Venice Biennale - opening on Saturday, 9th May, 2026 The power of words fm heroic Byron, From Venice to Trieste I’m planning and preparing our tours and events for the next twelve months - a synthesis of history, geography, art and literature. Books and paintings, the history of printing and book publishing in Venice. Historic characters like Lord Byron, poet and playboy and his time on San Lazzaro, with the Armenian monks. Dramatic lives, ordinary lives and the traces they leave behind. Agatha Christie in Istanbul, Orhan Pamuk and his novels……. A little corner of Greece in Venice centred on the Church of San Giorgio dei Greci Orhan Pamuk's compelling novel 'The Museum of Innocence' was translated into a real, physical museum in Istanbul. Both the novel and the museum are worthy of your time! Printing in Venice Italy #Italia #venezia sempre qualcosa di nuova a scoprire….. #grandtourist #educatedtraveller #discovery Small group tours in 2026
