Venice - Lido and Excelsior Hotel on a perfect May morning. The sun is shining and there’s a light breeze. Just perfect.

Ostia Antica one of the biggest archaeological sites in Italy - after Pompeii, vast, fascinating and rarely crowded. A taste of Rome near the airport. Ostia was the port of Ancient Rome - a vast expanse of warehouses, storerooms and houses. A theatre, Forum, market place - its all there #Rome #Roma #Ostia #Lazio #grandtourist #educatedtraveller #journeys #travel #education
An unexpected deviation to Istanbul. East meets west, colour, flavour, spices, exotic vibes. #Bosphorus #Sultanahmet #dolmabachepalace #istanbul #turkey #turkishdelight - full details: https://wp.me/p5eFNn-7pG
Morning! Guess what - my favourite (of all time) restaurant will be featured on CNN (Stanley Tucci) - tomorrow I think - in US. I include this fabulous restaurant on our amazing Writer’s Retreat 18-24 Sept. I also include it on an amazing Venice to the Alps Tour which I’m running exclusively for @girlsguidetoparis from 28 Sept-08 October, 2022. All my tours - for small groups and individuals are unique - I’m working to deliver the highest quality and most authentic experiences. Later this year I’ll be introducing the wonders of Venice to a private group of art collectors from the East Coast. Once again we’ll be at Da Romano. #Quality #Care #Exceptional #Experiences.
